We are a student-ran organization which brainstorms and creates science kits with the intent to teach and inspire the younger generation about various science subjects. We intend to work with elementary schools and libraries within our area to give back towards those who helped us find our traction in academics and help set our foundation to allow us to be where we currently are. Our kits are interactive towards our younger students, geared towards demonstrating the real life application of the sciences in our kits and lessons. We aim to make learning fun, and provide a source of inspiration to those where that resource is not available at their education level. We hope to inspire a new generation of science thinkers who take pride in the science field like we do, and to spread the fun of science as far as possible.

Hi, my name is Connor and I am the founder and president of Kits for Kids. I am currently a senior at James Logan High School. I started this project my sophomore year with a very optimistic mindset about how far we could bring the idea of free science kits to life. I have been beyond proud of what we have accomplished in this organization since we have started and am excited to bring even more to the community. Outside the organization I enjoy playing tennis, listening to music, and spend time with my friends and family.

Hello, my name is Logan and I am one of the Vice Presidents of Kits for Kids. I am a current senior at James Logan High School. I find joy in sciences in every field but especially physics. I like working in teams and collaborating with others. I strongly believe that working in teams can help one learn more and that fun should come hand-to-hand with learning which is what I aim for in every lesson. I am in charge of making sure events run smoothly and planning for events. I enjoy playing all sports but this year ran cross-country and played tennis.

I am grateful for the opportunity to play a pivotal role along with the rest of my peers in creating a positive environment for our community. I love science in the fact that it is such a diverse and creative subject that it creates a lot of enjoyment and fulfillment. What's up! My name is Jeremy, and I'm a senior in high school. I’m grateful to serve as one of the Vice Presidents of our club! Some of my main responsibilities include designing graphic reminders for our Instagram page, assisting with club recruitment events, and speaking at many of our youth programs. I truly enjoy participating in the events our club hosts, as they allow me to help educate and inspire the local youth. Outside of the club, I love running, dancing, playing Pokémon, and singing. I look forward to continuing to contribute to this amazing organization and encouraging even more people to get involved!
What's up, I'm Brendan! I'm also a senior at James Logan High School and I am extremely grateful to be working as the treasurer of Kits for Kids. My job is to help regulate the money and make sure we have enough funding to run super awesome experiments for our program. The thing that inspires me the most is seeing our community come together and learn about these experiments while also having fun! Outside the club, I spend lots of my time hiking and playing clarinet for the James Logan Band. Hi, My name is Anmol. I'm a senior at James Logan High School. I was introduced to this opportunity by the Connor and I thought it was a great idea so I decided to be apart of the club. Personally, I think science is one the best things you can learn in life and I want to introduce that to kids at an young age so they can get a head start on it. What I mostly do is I take care of the finance section such as overseeing how much we spend and how much we will earn from our donations and ETC. Outside of school I like watching/playing sports, mass binging movies and TV shows which I love to do.

Hi, my name is Yash Batra, I am a senior in high school and I am grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of this club. I always enjoyed entering my science classes as it felt calm and engaging and I wanted to give that gift to kids who may not feel the same way about science. Being a photographer for this program makes me even more excited about it because I also get to practice my shot taking skills, as I have also had a passion for photography for a long time.

My name is Mr. Lockwood. I have been teaching science at Logan for 28 years. When I was younger, I never wanted to be a teacher. After college, I did some substitute teaching and had a very rewarding teaching experience with a 4th grade class. That week in the 4th grade classroom gave me my appreciation for how special teaching is. I am so thrilled to be a small part of Kits for Kids. The people in this club give their time to help kids who are much younger than them. They are helping to shape the future and, who knows, maybe some of them will choose teaching as a career and will enjoy it as much as I have.
